Starcom Taiwan’s “The Love Atomic Habit” redefined how families in Taiwan talk about love, life, and organ donation. By using AI as a judgment-free partner, the campaign encouraged small, daily acts of affection that grew into meaningful conversations about organ donation. With measurable growth in donor consent, media impact, and cultural engagement, the initiative showed how building emotional habits can save lives—and how technology can humanize, rather than dehumanize, our most important decisions.
How it Makes a World of Difference
In Taiwan, over 11,000 people await organ transplants, yet three lives are lost every day because families—bound by cultural taboos around death—refuse to consent. The Love Atomic Habit tackled the root issue: a lack of open communication in families. By reframing organ donation as part of a broader journey of expressing love, the campaign encouraged people to practice small, daily expressions of affection. Using AI-powered tools to help individuals record love messages without embarrassment, the initiative transformed the act of communication into a habit. In doing so, it bridged intimate family love with altruistic love for society—preparing families for life-saving decisions long before they were needed.
